Hello, Scarf Friends!
Earlier this week, I was wishing for the Autumn/Winter scarf booklet. The Hermès Gods must have heard me, as it arrived yesterday in my mailbox. So…I’ve updated the Database List to include the new designs. Going forward (and maybe a little backward), I will also include the season (A/W OR S/S) in this list – no idea why I didn’t think of it earlier. I will miss the 70cm vintage silk scarves, but the silk bandanas look interesting. And I just can’t believe myself anymore when I say I don’t “need” any more 90cm silk twills!
As time permits, I continue my efforts to add & update our catalogue – I especially need more photos from recent years, but of course, ALL are welcome! You can Contact Me if you have your own photos to donate, then attach them to my reply – the higher the resolution, the better. Please let me know if you would like to be listed on our contributors page, or if you wish to remain anonymous. Corrections are always appreciated; yes, I occasionally make mistakes. 🙂
A reminder about registration…it’s a little confusing, as you need to register twice – once from the home page here and once inside the catalogue here; I’d suggest using the same password! However, you only have to do this once, and registering does give you browsing options that aren’t available if you remain an anonymous guest. Please don’t hesitate to ask for assistance if you need help in the registration process, and note that your information will never be shared.
For those of you who have made a financial contribution towards this website’s expenses, thank you so much! This is a labor of love, but there are costs involved to host the photo-intensive site – the labor is my hobby. 🙂 I really appreciate all who have made contributions, either by photo submissions or financial support through PayPal. It would be nice to have a sponsorship through Hermès to cover costs (Hellooo?), but at least, they allow me to continue, as this site is for educational, non-commercial use. I actually wrote them once, but received no reply. C’est la vie.
I am especially interested in your photos of really old or really new designs, but all are welcome! Once again, thank you for your support!
